Fuel Tank Pipe Bore Size

Hi

Does anyone know the bore size of the metal pipe on the fuel tank were the rubber pipe fits ?

Would be the same size, otherwise the hose won't fit on the neck and tank beeing it a straght hose.

Tank inlet is
internal 38.66mm
External 40.20mm
Flange 42.10mm
The lower section of the fuel filler pipe is the same diameter of the tank inlet.
I have found you can use 38mm stainless exhaust pipe the link hose will grip the pipe but it is worth while running a step weld around the edge of the pipe which increases its diameter

Hi Mark
If you are considering making the filler pipe then I recon it may be worth looking into using 1 5/8 pipe which is 41.27mm diameter for the lower 45 90 45 degree sections. then adaptor to 57mm for the filler neck with a 16mm diameter tube just bellow the neck.
I made mine out of 38mm but the next will be 1" 5/8 for a snug fit on the link pipe.
