Scirocco Register

Hi,

Following my last thread, have taken off the side trims from the doors and the steel core has rusted hence the bulging.

They are now obselete from VW though, anyone know where I can get my hands on new ones, is anyone remanufacturing them? Don't really want to have to stick the old ones on again, they look crap!

Let everyone know how you got on.

Its quite easy to get hold of decent 2nd hand ones, obviously theyd need repainting, but thats easy enough to do as long as you use plastic primer instead of ordinary primer. Plastic primer allows to painted item to flex a bit without the paint cracking.

If you mean the lower outer rubber trim then there is a white Scirocco at 'Sports Car Breakers" on the outskirt of Edinburgh with them still on.
