For some odd reason my rad fan doesn't cut out when it's cooled down
I have to disconnect the switch to stop it.
Faulty switch? If so any spares out there?
Thanks

Probably the switch on the rad faulty. Are you unplugging that or the actual fan itself?
Is yours 2 pin or 3 pin?
I'm assuming you mean thatbit never switches off, as opposed to it runs on for a few minutes, which is normal

Hi Nate,
I'm actually unplugging the fan itself (the connector on the top).
It's deffo running on more than it should, as in won't stop after 15 mins after ignition turned off.
When I unplug it to get it to stop, I reconnect again straight away & it doesn't restart.

2 pin or 3 pin switch?
I would go for unplugging the switch and impersonating it by connecting the pins in the connector - 2 pin is easy, just connect both together. 3 pin you will need to either know the wiring colours or use a bit of trial and error. There's only 3 possible combinations of 2 pins you can connect together. One will be high, one low and the 3rd possibility won't do anything.
If that checks out ok, replace switch. I'd guess what is happening is the switch contacts are starting to get a bit past it and are sticking together. You may find that a sharp tap to the switch with a screwdriver handle will stop the fan too.
