Electric windows - general query

My Honda Jazz (that I'm hoping to sell) developed a problem with the electric window on the way back from acing its MoT.
It goes down ok, but on the way up it stops before closing and starts to go down again (this happens with auto-close, or if you hold down the switch).
Is this more likely to be a problem with the mechanism or the switch?

It sounds like the switch sensor that thinks there is an obstruction, not sure if it is all in with the switch, speak with a dealer.

I hope it's the switch as I'm pretty sure I haven't had that replaced yet on the factory recall. Just called the dealer and they can take a look tomorrow, so fingers crossed I'll get it fixed for free!

As Ian says, it thinks something is stopping it. Could try some spray grease on the mechanism

Well, the switches were replaced under a recall (so free!) and the window appeared to work on the couple of times I tested it. Won't know if it breaks again as a nice Polish chap has just taken the old girl off my hands.
