gearbox removal 1.8inj DX

Hi guys,
going to be removing the box to replace the cluth and the drive shaft seals this week, any advice or corrections to the haynes book of lies before I start?

Only really annoying thing is the drivers driveshaft. You can do the passenger side from the wheel arch with two big extensions. Other than that its pretty straight foward. Lifting it back up into place can be tricky the first time but feels good doing it yourself

I cannot remember whether Haynes mentions it, but there is, or should be, a small triangular shaped plate just above the driver's side inner cv joint, which needs to be removed - 2 bolts - otherwise the drive shaft flange will not slide past the end of the engine block.

cheers guys, do i need an engine hoist for this or could i do it without??

Hoist would be good if your by yourself but its possible to do it without it. Wouldnt fancy putting it back in by myself though. Rope around the top with some one working from the top and someone underneath
