I am curious as to the purpose of the hole in intake manifold on my GTX. Can anyone advise?

On a web between 2 of the ports? Think it's for drainage.

Sorry for bringing this thread back from the dead, but I noticed a hole in my intake manifold tonight and just wanted to confirm this is the drainage hole mentioned?

yes drainage...if filled you end up with massive rot between wed and intake fails.
