Scirocco Register

Hi, I've just joined up on the other halfs behalf as he isn't very technically minded! Was hoping you could help him, he's looking for some replacement side stripe decals. His car is a MK2 Scirocco 1984 Gti 1800 and the stripes are red and grey.

Thanks in advance for any help, hoping to surprise him with a set!

Welcome - sadly unless there is a set collecting dust on a dealers shelf it's unlikely to be available still.

These guys could be worth talking to - I've had some stickers and number plates made up referring to an old school tuner from the old days.

Looking at the work they do for old Fords they COULD be able to help if they knew dimensions/gaps/colours.

I'll check the online catalogue for part numbers too for you JUST in case a set is still in Germany.

from the catalogue link in my signature, i think the stripes you're after are part number 533898529A KW3. heritage aren't listing them as available from classic parts though. might be worth asking your local vw agent to do a uk stock search, but somehow i doubt you'll have any luck. easiest way might be to get a local signwriter to do them for you

He was knocking up some decals recently.

Find a car with them on, get some tracing paper, do a wax rubbing and get someone to make them for you.
