anyone know the brake linkage pushrod length? doesn't say in the haynes, it only says it's important to keep it at the factory length! Thanks

I found the lengths for most of the linkages, and scribbled them in my haynes manual....I'll have a look see if I can find it.

It is important to keep it factory length though, one of my linkages was 2mm out and the brakes ended up locking on due to constant dragging.

I still haven't found my haynes. I've been trying to think where I got the measurements from. It was either a Bentley manual, or an older Haynes book of lies.
I'll keep looking.

More than one way to skin a cat....it's in ETKA
Main pull rod that goes along the bulkead, 476mm. If it's the rod between the pedal and the linkage, or the length of the rod on the back of the servo, you'll have to give me some more time.

*edit
On second thoughts...that's the length of the rod. NOT the length it should be adjusted to. so just ignore that drivel up there ^^^^

I've found this in my Mk1 Haynes manual so I hope it's the same for a mk2.

Brake pedal to bell crank - 172mm - measured from clevis pin to clevis pin.

It doesn't give me the length of the pull rod which goes across the back of the bay though. Will try to remember to have a look in the Bentley manual to see if anything is listed there.

Thanks for the first measurement, that's helpful :)

Did you manage to find the other measurement for the long rod?

New lines and servo are together so this is the only thing stopping me stopping now! :)

Thanks

I found my Haynes manual finally...unfortunately, the pull rod (the long one across the bulkhead) is the only one I don't have measurements for.
Sorry

Having been out with a tape measure and measured from locknut to locknut it seems to be 43.5 cm on mine.
