Hi just a quick question what does the fuel canister fitted to the rocker cover do the one where the return goes back to the tank on the carb models the reason I ask is I was thinking of removing it and fitting the t piece method I used when I had a webber with no fuel return. can I do this if I have a pierburg fitted I just think it will mean less fuel pipes in the engine bay any thoughts on this would be great

Why change something if it is working? If your Pierburg is running fine leave well alone!
The cannister is a swirl pot with a filter.

Jon, see my post which might explain a bit about the swirl pot. If you take it out then make sure the restrictor on the tee leg going back to the tank is not too large as it will starve the carb when under load.
