I feel more inclined to share this on the register
Since my American brethren seem less than excited
On my new acquisition and even less excited by my
Enthusiasm and plans
Car: 78 rocco owned by Darrell vittone of techtonics tuning
78-82 he raced it and a lot of old school magazine features
Have been done on it; mostly Porsche and Vw magazine.
In 1982 it was the fastest watercooled Vw in America, it's had a variety
Of engines in it: callaway turbo 8v, oettinger 16v etc
When I found out the car had been sitting in a warehouse since I was born
In 85 I had to grab it.
Plans are to put the 16v 1.8 (port and polished head)
+ arp head studs, arp rod bolts, crank studs, double stack head gasket + spacer
(Later on custom machined pistons and rods
Parts I have right now
Digi1 ecu flashed and chipped for 22+ psi
Digi1 harness (later on megasquirt)
BBM 16v fuel rail
3.0 bar fpr
ATP cast iron manifold
T3 super 60 Turbonetics turbo
Setup made 364 hp on old 16v owners engine
Plans are 360-400 range
Pictures soon, FYI I'm willing to trade for good bits
And I have a lot of rare s1 parts
Pictures next post

Especially like the Scirocco flash between the rear lights, I had the same on my first Scirocco back in 1985.

It's like the Scirocco version of my old 2CV:

I got the turbo intake off a wrecked honda at the yard
I think he put it on then crashed his car, because
The filter was new I couldn't pass it up.
The other pipe is from a Saab, plan is still 23 psi
But I'm gonna run 2" from the turbo to maybe 2.25 into
Intercooler. And on other side run 2.25 to 2.5 it maybe 3
I will be using a g60 throttle body on the 16v scirocco intake
I'm on the hunt for a td5 rover intercooler or Mercedes sprinter
Any recommendations for 100$ mark?
I have a starion as a back up but I'm not sure I want to use it
As I will be over the 350hp mark where they pop
Also buyer fell flat for the rs2 pistons I wanted, if any of you in the uk
Wanted to make a few quid I'd be down to buy some good pistons
For my PL (KR like 16v )

I found a great deal on an intercooler lot from a local for 120
With a blow off valve, the intercooler is quality, so I am upping plans
And going with a t4 turbo instead of my t3 to accommodate the bigger intercooler
And tubing and 3" downpipe I will get later
my low mile t3 ball bearing turbo super sixty a/r=.47 is now for sale with new intake tube and filter
I'm going to buy a Borg Warner t4 turbo possibly a/r .80-1.10 range not sure yet I want some low more mid range and a lot of top end I want 500-800. I will start focusing on block more soon
600+ hp intercooler and tubing
Tial bov
Walbro inline 255gph fuel pump
And I got this in the turbo pan in mail from techtonics:
It's been chemically dipped and treated with an electrical process
1/2" (13mm) turbo drain plug line hole
