few of my bits of trim are burgered and im curiouse on what it would look like without the trim on the arches and such ? already thinking of running bumperless so has this got any photos aswell ? cheer Mk2GT !

GT2, Was running my GTS without front bumper (and of course without Fogs). Looked like this



I thought it looked better than it had, but decided the biggest improvement was losing the Fogs, so put the bumper back on without them.

There is some pictures of cars without the body kits in the show us your Mk2 - picture thread at the top of this page to give you an idea of what they look like.

yeah my mk2 got no fogs either defiantly prefer it. However wasn't me that removed them was done prior to me buying it

I often wondered what mine would look like without the body kit and black rubber strips but would never do away with my spot lamps. Ido think these would only work on a white rocco though

You are describing the early mk2 Scirocco. VW added the body-kit in '84. This is what they look like without the body-kit:
