Hi Guys finally got around to posting some pictures of the Purple car, you may have seen the car at a few shows and at Cosford this year, the car had a full panel restoration, all the welding and panel work was carried out by myself, the car was primered and then sent to where I used to work to be painted, the car had a after market glass sunrooof, this always leaked and looked a mess, I chucked this in the skip and cut a larger hole in the roof and bonded a MK2 Golf steel sunroof tray and roof panel into the Scirocco roof.
All things considered this worked out very well, but interior head room is somewhat reduced, as I am short this doesn't matter,
colour is a Ford colour from the mid 1990s and is pearlesant so sparkles in the sun.
Brake pipes, wiring looms and all the usual Scirocco issues were sorted out and a set of Bilstien gas shock absorbers and Eibach springs have been fitted, a Piper 2 inch stainless steel exhaust sounds great but is a bit boomy at low revs, I use the car as much as possible and is used to drive to work as well as the weekends, MK2 GTX 16v is the daily driver, please have look through the images below to see the panel work as it was carried out, also please have a look at my face book page KW Restorations as this shows this and a number of other projects I have carried out.
