Project RagnaRocc

So, here we are. The Right Honourable Mr Funk has laid down the challenge of a 14 second pass at VW Action in August.
This might only be 'pretty difficult' if I had a sensible, working Rocco. As it is, I have a car that was last seen moving at a mafia meet. At the Conning Brook.
There will be pictures of the car's (pretty sorry) sorry state once I daylight and sobriety.
I'll be keeping the spec on the QT for now, so there will be updates as and when I do stuff.
As it is, I live away from where I keep the car, so I'll be building the vehicle up in sub systems so I can make a one shot long weekend assembly later this year, probably early summer.
As it stands:
Engine: 1.8 Ew passat motor with a rocco pierburg (leaky fire hazard)
Trans: 4+e with skinny drive shafts
Electrics: early spec
Body: gt, no arbs, no major rust, plenty of 'patina' and knackered graphics
Suspension: boge dampers and weitec spine snapper -60mm springs
Interior: some
Recently I've been working on rebuilding a set of Weber dcoe 40's. Full picture build with video to follow*
These are going to be strapped to a specialist rebuilt** dx head. DX heads head have injection ports you say.. yes. Yes they do.
Expect attention to be paid to performance, reliability, handling and performance. If you like pristine shiney factory spec cars, this isn't the build for you.
*I am a hamfisted fool.
**Knocked together by my dad, ran 17s at pod
