Mk2 with a 300mm steering wheel?

I'm just wondering about the weighty steering if I swap to a smaller wheel.
I measured the standard one at 380mm but due to the seating position I find it too large. I'm short and have to sit all the way forward.
So I'm wondering if a 300mm would make the standard steering far to heavy? Any experience?

I'm not the worlds largest and had a Polo S wheel fitted. Not 100% on the size but a lot smaller. Yes a bit heavier but great fun especially around tight corners. Suited the car very well.

By 'fun' do you mean, more responsive, less arm movement needed? Or do you have to feed the wheel a lot more on a smaller one??

Personally wouldn't recommend anything less than 350mm - agree that the polo coupe s wheel is perfect for a rocco and is about 370mm.

I had a 300 mm wheel on mine for a bit but found it a nuisance when parking. On the plus side you definitely won't be scrubbing your tyres out on the spot.

I was going to fit a tiny wheel, my knees don't agree with the standard ship's tiller for heal/toeing, and I figured it would be cheaper than a gym membership.

I've been using a wooden mountney wheel which is 330mm, any smaller and It would be near impossible to park, but it's a good workout!
