Haynes spec for ignition coil - is it wrong?

Sorry if this is the wrong forum...

My Haynes tells me the resistance on the secondary (HT) winding on the coil (transistorized system) should be 2.4 to 3.5 Ohms - is this right or a typo? Given the step-up ratio I would expect it to be higher.

Mine measures about 3075 Ohms, the primary (LT) is about 0.9 Ohms, which is a little bit higher than the 0.52 to 0.76 quoted, but values as low as that are subject to inaccuracies brought about by the connection between the meter and the item being tested, I get 0.2 Ohms when I connect the multimeter probes together, which would put the primary reading in range if subtracted from the initial reading.

ile be honest i tried to get haynes readings off my coil and didnt. if you suspect the coil of being faulty just change it as ive tested three spare coils i know are all good and every single one is different!

Turns out the Haynes specs are wrong, in that it says 2.4 to 3.5 Ohms but should say 2.4 to 3.5 kOhms.

The original one reads 3.026 kOhms and the replacement I fitted today is 4.56 kOhms but it made no sodding difference.
