Sound dampening

Hi all!

I have recently been working on some water leaks in my rocco, and I think i have gotten them all now.
Just going to give it a couple more weeks before i start redoing the interior.

So the original sound dampening in the car had rotten and pretty much fell apart as i took it out of the car, so i need to replace them.

The two options i have concidered is doing the whole car with dynamat, as im doing the rear with this stuff anyway.
or order this: http://www.newtoncomm.co.uk/products/32 ... ucts-3228/

Have any of you compaired these two against eachother? Which one gives the most sound dampening effect?
I think the dynamat will be a bit pricier, but it doesn't really matter if it does the job better.

Have fitted the newton kit to my Mk1 this year and can vouch for the quality.

Igor my mk1 I was planning to go scavenging in the knackers yard. Mid 90s passats and probably other stuff of similar age have stuff that's kinda like bubble wrap filled with sand. Gonna stick some some of that in
