mk2 golf engine into mk1 rocco question

Hi guys ill be fitting an 8v gti engine in the new year.
What do I need to change in the engine bay and buy engine mounts?

I believe you have a Mk1 GLS so to fit a MK2 golf Gti you need different fuel tank Gti one, a swirl pot, lift fuel pump in the tank, fuel injection fuel pump under the car, possibly high pressure fuel lines (if the mk2 golf engine is a K- jet I think you don't need them if its a digifant injection but not sure)
The engine mounts are the same, all I can think of at the moment..
Let us know which type of engine/injection system it is? DX or PB...

yes, rocco engine mounts should be fine (check they're not knackered before you refit them though) and you will need a high pressure fuel supply. i found it easier not to bother messing about with fitting the scavenge pump in the tank and the accumulator and stuff. i just used a high pressure inline pump from a 520, mounted under the car near the tank using a mount from a rocco coil. i then used plastic high pressure plastic fuel lines from a passat. worked spot on, and much easier to fit and wire in
