Hi,
I've got a T25 diesel that was smoking so much they refused it at an MOT place! Any advice on where to take it...it looks like new engine time

It's a 1.7 diesel smokes a bit a blue and a bit of white smoke (not using any water tho)

I'm in Loughborough

....or does anyone fancy a project?

do you not know any "tame" mot testers near you?

male sure all the engine breathers are clean (remove them along with all breather pipes and clean in petrol) run some injector cleaner thru it and give it a new air filter to give it the best chance of passing. Cleaning out the breathers will (hopefully) help it deal with any combustion gas that escapes past the pistons better, which can help cut down on oil burning (blue smoke) and the white smoke it probably down to either dirty or worn injectors

Make sure that turbo ain't bad
When them seals go bad it will fill the exhaust full
Of oil
If the turbo is bad get a t3 manifold and turbo

Take nates advice and be sure to grab some diesel kleen
Stuff works awesome
