Scirocco Register

I want to replace mine as I've sheared off the bleed nipples, but how do i tell if i need the brake pressure regulator ones or not? I'm going to get them from GSF, so if anyone could tell me the right part number that would be very helpful! I have a 1988 1.6 GT carb with 75bhp, rear drums obviously.

has it got pressure regulators screwed into 2 of the outputs of the master cyclinder? if it has then you just need "normal" wheel cylinders

take your old ones with you if you can - compare to the new one before you leave the shop. don't forget, mopst places should be able to search parts by reg number now

As Nate says, take the old ones with you. There are two piston sizes, a 14mm and a17mm. Although 17mm is the more common one. I got two off GSF last week, about £6 each + vat.

question! is it better to fit the larger ones anyway if they fit? wont this make the brakes will work better or will this work too well mekkin them lock up under normal brakin?

it will take more fluid to fill them, which will mean more pedal travel to make them move the same amount. probable result will be shit brakes. believe it or not, manufacturewrs do put quite bit of thought into designing the brakes!
