i know there was a discussion about this a while back, but i can't find it.
been on the phone to autoglass this afternoon. they confirmed that whilst mk1 screens aren't in stock, they ARE AVAILABLE to order. price for a bronze tinted one was £211.08 including fitting at one of their workshops. fiting at home would be extra. they are calling me back before 10am tomorrow to let me know the lead time and if it comes with the seal or not

I would have thought that it is very unlikely to come with a seal.

In a similar vein, if you were to replace your screen, and the other windows for that matter, is it possible to refit chrome trim?

Think it was this one, when I was looking for one:

I was told that it didn't come with a seal when I spoke to them last time but then they quoted me £281 and would have to call me back as to if they could source one. They are also available to order direct from pilkington classic screens.
@bonusrocco yes you can refit the chrome trim bit of a PITA though.

Hi, in my own searches for a windscreen, I was told by Autoglass, that there are none available any longer. However, Pilkington K offered a discount, if there enough windscreens ordered at the same time, but would not specify how much! The standard price, they quoted was around £220 clear, £250-ish for a tint. They would need numbers before they agreed a definite price.

Can't believe it has took them so long to come back to you!!
I had the same issue trying to get one through my insurance company and gave up waiting in the end and fitted a used one,its not brilliant but keeps the water out. Perhaps we can get enough people together for a group buy???
Have you tried Pilkington, they quoted me not so long back:

i do have a screen, but it is in very poor condition, and after ant has done such a sterling job on the bodywork, i don't want it to be let down by a windscreen that is well past it's use-by date

So is this a company that has the screen and where are they, do they have lots of them?
There's nothing wrong with my screen other than a few stone chips but if anything does happen just wanted to know if they are still about...

they're based in swindon (about 10 miles from me!) and currently have 1 in stock. he's going to check with "the warehouse" for any more and let me know. he also thinks he can get hold of the rubber seals still. more info tomorrow morning...

Swindon not to far from me...
ummm might need to look into buying one if they are that hard to get hold of.
Keep us updated on the outcome.
