electric fan not working

Hi guys the electric fan isn't coming on, I have seen it working in the past few months so I'm guessing its a sensor somewhere, though I'm slightly confused as to which I need, and where they are! My car is a 1990 1.8 carburettor. I know there is a sensor down at the base of the radiator, but there are also 3 coming out of the cylinder head at the front. I can't seem to match products from heritage, eurocarparts or gsf, any idea how I can find out the right parts?

I am happy to replace all sensors in sight for peace of mind!

One in the rad does the fan. There are 2 and 3 pin versions. 2 pin does single speed and 3 pin does 2 speed fan.

to diagnose, unplug it. If its 2 pin version, just short them out and fan should come on. If its 3 pin, identify the live in and short this to each of the other 2 in turn

Worst case just hook it up to a switch. Fairly easy to do and keeps the engine cool short term
