Hi all.

Have an annoying problem with the rocco once its warm...

I start the car in the morning absolutely fine, little bit of choke and she fires up on the button, runs well whilst driving ect ect.
if i then switch off the engine once warm, she turns over for a very long time and then coughs and splutters into life for about 10 seconds then runs perfectly again.

I know shes running a little rich which im going to be sorting soon but is there anything else that people have known to cause this kind of problem?

Cheers guys and girls

Edit: Sorry forgot to say its a 1991 GT2 1.8 8v

that sounds like running rich allright.
basically everytime you try to start it up your almost flooding it before it starts.
a choked airfilter can cause this aswell.

Just got round to getting it on the emissions tester and it was running at 0.246 % CO so it was really weak :/ Got the CO to 1.024% which is well within tolerance (1% +.5) and she seems to start up perfectly for now and also hasnt had the idling hissy fit i sometimes get once warm!

Fingers crossed it was just too weak and the non start when warm could have been fuel evaporation? and the idling could have been fuel starvation....

Nope... didnt cure it :(

that said, the cars a lot more responsive now! goes like stink, but still has the intermittant idle problem :(
