Oh and whilst I want to keep it pretty original I do have some ATS cup wheels which I am contemplating putting on! Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Looks a good'n Seejay - and Cups on a white Mk2 a really good choice.
I'll dig out some shots of 'past masters' sporting them.

Thanks guys. Wheels need a wash after spending 3 years in my garage though! ....... should of done that before I put them on ...doh!

looking good mate, hi, im new to the site aswell... i noticed yours is the carb' version ,,, will you be thinking on changing it to a webber ? much more reliable and manuel choke is far better if its the pieburg 2e2 with auto choke

Lovely looking car that mate! Love GT2's in white, i wanted a white one but ended up with the complete opposite, Black!

Haha Matty that's funny because I was after a black one and ended up with white! I shall be keeping everything as it is at the moment as I am a believer in not fixing what isn't broken but I do see what you're saying. The original wheels are in for a refurb at the moment so next week it should be completely standard with on 55k on the clock and full VW service history!
