Guys, this is my Mk2 GTII.

I've known of the car since roughly 2009 but I've been heavily involved with BMW E30's. The car sat in a friends yard for years amongst building materials and general crap. I finally got my hands on it over a year ago but I was unable to move or make a start on it until earlier this year. Dragged out from its resting place it took alot of cleaning to make sure it was actually worth saving.

Here are some pics from when I dragged it out until present:

After some careful cleaning:

I'm really pleased with the condition of the underside and yet to find anywhere that needs welding.

That's it at the moment, before I car start on suspension and brakes I need to get the car water-tight. Water is collecting on the passenger side footwell (front and rear) and in the boot on the flat horizontal panels behind the rear lights. Unfortunately a previous owner 'back in the day' thought it would be ok to bastardise the roof by getting a Britax glass sunroof fitted which I have got to source a mechanism for as it wont clamp down. Any pointers welcomed for help of the leaks.

It's going to need some paint at some point but the rest first. The rubber side strips are hanging off so they're not staying.

A keeper guys?

Fantastic job cleaning the old girl up. Amazed there wasn't mould on the seats after such a long period of lay up.

Cant help with the sunroof part sorry, may have to be something that would have to be fabricated?

Either way, good luck with the project!
