Windscreen seal chrome trim

Post by sciroccy »

Hello all,

I am about to order some windscreen seals for my 1980 MK1 Scirocco from vintagerubber.com but I'm not sure if I should order them with the groove for the chrome trim or not as I'm not sure I can get hold of the trim from anywhere. I've seen a roll of trim for sale on eBay for a Golf MK1 but can anyone confirm if this will fit a scirocco MK1?

Also, I need a brand new rear windscreen, are auto windscreens or auto glass able to replace these? I have one in at the moment but the demister is useless and I don't want to risk replacing it with a second hand one that may have the same problem.

I am also about to order a new roof lining/head liner from stockinteriors.com (assuming they ship to the UK). Does anyone have any experience of using these? Are they any good?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
