Dropping the tank, late MK2

So, I've got a fuel leak to fix :(
What's the procedure for removing the tank?
From what I can see.. it's remove exhaust, leave the shocks attached, removed handbrake cables from inside the car, remove beam mounting bolts and lower beam on a jack (car is supported at the rear chassis members on solid stands btw), withdrawing tank.
Aside from removing lines.. did I miss anything?

clean off the exposed thread on the rear beam mounts and spray with penetrating oil (plusgas or some other decent quality dismantling lube would be my choice over wd40) and leave it to soak in. a few people have had problems with the studs shearing off. while it's not the end of the world, it would be loads of extra work

Also disconnect the plug that goes to the fuel sender!

i forgot that last time i had to drop a tank. it was full of fuel too. you'd be surprised how much weight such qas small wire can support

Yeah it's been plus gassed for the last two nights, I'll give it another brush with the old wire paint remover
and another spray while I get a brew and wait for the tank to drain.
Ill do the filler neck and other gubbins to while it soaks.

Hey all :)
Bit of a scrap, but as I've sold my MK3 golf I had to get it sorted. Ended up snagging a brake pipe so I replaced the one that runs the length of the car. Ended up flaring my own one up, but this turned out to be a blessing, as I had to drop the beam lower on that side anyway.
It's in!
It's fuel tight :)
I managed to get a tank of ebay for a bargain £20, and I snaggled a stainless exhaust off the same guy.. sorry if you were watching that one, bought it off the chap on the day so he removed the re-listing.

I've also fitted a stainless exhaust (off a MK1 I think, as the mounts don't really line up!) but I made it fit, it sounds a lot fruiter now, although I suspect I really do need to swap out the C Clamp toilet bowl for the 6 bolt manifold and downpipe I got as part of the deal.
Now I just need to do the shocks, get the wheels refurbed and sort out the nasty paint on the door..
Oh and fix the cold starting issue, which I think I've traced to the TTS.
