Scirocco Register

Due to there being so many potholes in the south Birmingham area I decided I would put my origenal suspension back on the rocko.
It's so smooth now!
The lowering kit I put on the car was good but far too harsh on the naff roads.
So I'm going to save the lowering kit for the project rocco.
Anyone else done the same by reverting to the standard setup?

I did the same on my daily drive, the mk1 golf and I now don't have to drive on a block of wood to fit the trolley jack under it or worry about my exhaust hitting those speed bumps which are just in the middle of the road so buses don't have to slow down. I'm glad I changed back to the standard setup or perhaps I'm just getting old!

Yeah them blooming speed humps are popping up all over Birmingham

I went back to standard springs a few years ago when I suburbia in Bristol. There were lots of speed humps which I had to keep slowing right down for, one day I nearly got a 4x4 driver in the boot as they weren't paying attention so decided enough was enough. Standard springs with Koni dampers and Eibach ARBs to give a sharper up the turn in and almost no understeer has made it a very good cross country car even on very lumpy tarmac.

i had 80mm drop all round when i first got my mk2. i knew every single pothole on my way to work.
