My Rocco :)

Post by M4tty69 »

Hi all,

After going to the Nurburgring a couple of months back with a friend who took her Rocco, i decided i needed a Rocco in my life! so a little bit of searching and here she is!

Bog standard GT2
Recent respray, Cambelt, Vavle stem oil seals, Cam cover gasket ect ect.
144k on the clock

Ran like a dream on the 3 hour drive home, Couldnt be happier!

Plans are to lower it a little on coilovers but still keep it practical and also some nice alloys once ive decided what to put on!

Nice looking car mate, where are you based? Plenty of shows to attend and show it off!

Polo LX, you say. Do you have any pics? I used to have one of those. Quite a rare beast.

Lovely Polo - are your seats good under those covers? I love the stripes, but the fabric is quite delicate. Mine was a silver one with the black/white striped seats. Another car I'd happily have kept in my infinite garage.

Haha yeah it was Tracey who got me hooked on roccos! I quite liked them before but after seeing her car everyday of the Ring trip i just needed one in my life haha!

Yeah i love the polo to bits and it was either sell a couple of mini projects or sell the polo to fund the rocco, so the minis had to go (still got 3 though :p)

Here's mine in its standard glory (had something like 72k and 2 previous owners).

Scirocco looks clean, nice to have one with what looks like nice paint, mines a DIY distaster.

I recognise your Polo from Clubpolo a few years back, I've had Polo's and drove this before Scirocco's, regret ever getting rid of it TBH..

Yeah the 2 previous owners were on club polo with my car aswell as myself so its been floating around that forum for a few years!

Anyways update on the rocco! MY sunroof leaks :( got in it to start it the other night and got a wet arse! :( BUT thats the 1 and only fault with it that ive found so far! Cannot fault it otherwise, apart form having no insurance :*(

I use this on my GTL with the eighties blight glass sunroof - http://www.frost.co.uk/captain-tolley-s ... -60ml.html

The seals around the bolts on my glass panel are shot, this does the trick.

If it's the rubber seal try some vaseline on it.
