Scirocco Register

I've got an idea in my head, been searching on Google but I haven't found anything yet..

I know Mk1 Golfs could be specified with opening quaterlights, and popout rears, I think they may have been made by Happich but I'm not 100% on that. I know for certain that Happich made rear popouts for the Mk2 Golf, but I'm trying to find out if any Mk2 Rocco had them as an option? Wether it was Europe, US, Japan or any otherr market.

Do they exist, or does anyone know of a company that makes custom glass and custom hinges? Or am I just wasting my time with it?

You can definitely get opening front quarter lights for mk1 Sciroccos, but I'm not sure about the rears.

More common in the USA, I think.

I have been thinking about this for a while - I can't see it being a great idea on the mk2 as the window is long and thin at the back and in my non professional opinion the glass would have to be much wider. I had a mg mini metro a fiat punto and a Renault megane coupe - all with pop out rears - the Renault was the best as they were electric and you could operate them independently

Look on You Tube for ausstellfenster scirocco and you will find someone who has already done this.
