Top of the list but most expensive Rota OSR - 15x7 ET35

Image

Rota Flashback - 15x7 ET40 but cheaper replicas have better offset.

Image

Bullet Steel wheels - 15x8 rear, 15x7 ET20 front - handling would be poop

or the wild card, Keskin KT5 in 15x7

Hello!

Got to be the Rota OSR's - none of the others if not the OSR's. :yup:

Saw a Mk 1 Goof in Germany running these very wheels :chill:

Not feeling any of those, sorry.
Theyre not "period" enough for my liking.

Im a big fan of Ronal R10... thats what I'm having when the car stops swallowing all my money :(

tuck off.

tbh the first of the wheels in your first post are pretty neat - the ones on the polo are pretty gopping.

Mk1's are a tricky car to re-wheel.

Personally I hate the factory Mk1 alloys on GLS/GLi/GTi and phase one Storms - I would probably go for the multi-spokes as per the later cars if keeping standard.

VW upgrade wheels - the 6 x 15 RA's always looked good and the Scala Avus seem to suit Mk1's better than the Mk2 imho.

I'm going with the Type 5's for the 81, 7 x 15/et30 is perfect for the Mk1 as of course are my Zenders with the exact same measurements, I'll definitely try them on the 81 at some point.

Cheap option - 6 x 14 steels with 185/50 tyres - there was a helios cabriolet at No Rice back in the day that ran 50 series rubber on some Avus and I always thought it sat very nicely.

And so on!

Those Keskins are terrible.
That is all.

all of the wheels listed (aside from the bullet steels) are horrible and wouldnt suit the age of the car IMO

the bullet steels could look decent with a set of OEM chrome hubcaps fitted.

but even then there are so many other wheels out there that would better suit the car.

Period five spoke speedlines or some Ats classics or as sean say bbs or steels. G60 wheels alway look good on mk1s
Not feeling the above list fella.

I believe Rotiform do an Avus copy in larger sizes.
