Hi,
No specific torque setting as far as I know. Just tight enough to stop any play in the rear wheel bearing. But not too tight.

Ben.

are you sure for the rear when i removed the nut to take off the drum it was very easy to remove,i have had capris in the past where you tighten them up to about 30lb the loosen a quarter turn hoping someone would confirm something similar i dont want to overtighten and wreck the bearing

Apologies, didn't clock that it was the rear - the perils of phone browsing. Tighten the nut down to seat the bearing, then back it off until the thrust washer can just about be moved sideways with the end of a screwdriver - then tighten down a quarter turn.

i go for the slowly tighten until resistance is felt turning the wheel by hand, then back off until resistance goes, then tighten until you can line up a hole for the split pin. gives you the same result. worth checking the bearing for play after 50 - 100 miles too, as they can "settle in" and need nipping up again

ive allways gone for the "just tight enough so theres no play felt in the wheel" aproach.
it has been tried and tested for years in many garages on rear wheel bearings of his type.
there is a correct torque to tighten to then release half a turn but i cant remember what it was and really would want to guess what that would be.
and as nate said make sure you check them again after 50-100 miles to make sure theres no slack after running them in
