Even though it did not come with one, I thought I better fit one. With new four branch fitted it is hitting the exhaust manifold. Should of seen it coming. Any work arounds, suggestions? Or is there any custom one or one from another car that will fit?

Ian, i know that. When I bought the car it had no front anti roll bar fitted! The problem I'm having is with the 16v KR engine and my new four branch manifold the front anti roll bar no longer fits as it is hitting the manifold. Anybody else on here with a 16v and a front anti roll bar and four branch.

16v - check, 4 branch - check, front arb - check. What do I win? :hehe:

The arb will have a slight V shaped bend it in to allow space for the exhaust. Is the exhaust just touching the arb or is it impossible to fit because it would have to go straight through the middle of the exhaust?

Which 16v and manifold do you have?

This one. Dubpower fitted to a wide bore Jetex.

Roll Bar would have to go straight through the middle of the exhaust.

would it be posible to turn the anti roll bar upside down to give you a bit more clearance?

I have the same problem on my mk2 with abf fitted. I have 'mounted' a rubber exhaust holder on the anti roll bar and secured it with cable ties. I knew it is not going to last... was ok for a couple of days and then it slide to a side. I think I will just secure the rubber mount/holder with some clamps on both sides. It will still hit it but will not make that much noise.

The dub power manifold I'm running on the black car has a depression in I am pretty sure to help clear the bar.

16v also had bigger bars by the way.

If you know a decent workshop who can modify the pipe. That'll be better than any home brew mods to the roll bar.

As it happens the k bar had to be cut, one of the rear pointing links, on my car to accommodate dub power kit.

Real men don't need front ARBs.

Sticky tyres, coil overs and a front chassis brace will see you right :)
