availability of or alternatives to gas-strut inserts

The Scala is likely going to need some new strut inserts, both front and rear. I've previously used the gas inserts but nowhere seems to list them any more, are they unavailable and if so is there an alternative I can use?

Gsf list them, last year when I got some for my golf they were boge inserts.

You can get Bilstein gas inserts from various places, but they can be tricky to find.

Thanks chaps

I did look atthe GSF website before posting here, I was under the impression that the listed inserts were the standard oil-filled ones as they didn't specifically say that they were gas-filled. Anyway, I can give 'em a call and find out.

Good call on the Bilstein inserts, to my eternal shame I hadn't thought of checking other sources

I know VW heritage list gas struts, as do ECP - both Bilstein. Often they seem to only have either front or rear available, rarely both.

I highly recommend Bilstein B4 shocks! Gas and approx 10% stiffer than standard. They're also compatible with lowering springs. In my experience, they're leagues ahead of Boge Turbogas which I wouldn't fit again for free!

Balance Motorsport supplied my Bilsteins last year. You're looking at 3-5 working days as they'll come direct from
Germany.
