Scirocco Register

I have an old Benz SL (1974). Anyone who has owned or driven one of these, knows that the OEM steering wheel is large enough to be used for a bus/coach/lorry. The hub is enormous ad the entire assembly weights quite a lot. I decided mine needed something more svelte and stylish:



I may sell this car. If I do, I'll probably retain the wheel (Nardi, from a 1980s Maserati, possibly a BiTurbo). I wonder how it would look as a replacement for the 3-spoke Mk I wheel. It may be a bit larger than what VW used, but I think it would look smart.



Have any of you replaced the Mk I wheel with something classic?

Used to have a wooden Momo 320 mm wheel in my Mk1, which I subsequently to my former Mk2 Storm, pic of which:

Not got a pic on-line of my Mk1 with said wooden wheel.

I also tried a Momo Wooden jobbie...Imported from Japan no less!
(those were the days when I had a disposable income and no kids!)
