Quick bit of advice needed, anyone know if the polo G40 steering wheel is a direct replacement on a 91 Scala or is a different boss needed??
Thanks in Advance

G40 would probably be a smaller spline

I think you're right - I have a polo GT wheel of the same era (mk3?) and it is a direct fit for my mk1 Storm

Aye mk3. Some people say you can remove the adapter ring over the larger spline but apparently itll come off in 2 mins or it will never come off.

Nope, G40's are larger spline. iirc. 1990-1994 anyway, you may find some rare small spline ones knocking about as i've seen some bizzre combinations in polo's like my old mk2 1989 which had an apparent 1985 shell and fixings.
G40's also share the steering wheel with the GT and late genisis models. So don't get ripped off by paying premium for a 'rare G40 wheel' as they are identical. Pay at the most £20 for a mint one.
It's only mk2 Polo's which have the small spline untill about 86.

Thats a MK2 Coupe S Wheel.
Mk 3 Wheels are very similar to the corrado ones (more curvey than yours)

Thats a corrado one.
Imagine the corrado one with the metal strip of the coupe S one..
Bad pic but stole from clubpolo..
