I know some people have used these 5 wheel stud adaptors but are they any good. I.e do you get any steering wheel wobble ? What thinkness do do they come in. Also what is a good brand to buy and where from.
May end up using these on the Mk1 nightmere :chortle:

Not run them myself Jake, but I've got a pair to go on the passat for some porsche fitment wheels 5x112 -> 5x130.
They work just the same as the 'bolt to hub' spacers.
I wanted to get H&R, but a cheap pair of FK's came up on a forum and I went for them.
I'll probably get another pair of FK's as they're cheap at the moment - see here -

I think the main issue might be the offset of the wheels you want to fit (I'd look for 20mm minimum for the adaptors) so a wheel with ET50+ would be good...)
No worries with wobble if you get some which are 'hubcentric' (H&R/FK).

I've run HR adaptors on the Scala since '07 Jake - with the D90's.

No wobble issues but, being an early HR adaptor, quite soft and i've had to helicoil a couple of holes in that time.

Ah ok cheers chaps.
So these bolt straight to the hub using the 4 studs and then your set up for 5 bolts...Sweet.
Looks like i may be using this route. Good to hear theres no probs with
them.

jake, if you're going to go for ally wheel adaptors please spend the extra and get the H&R ones. the FK adaptors do just pull their threads and are frankly for show use only.

you can get cheaper steel items which will work okay from experience (but very heavy), but if you want ally you need adaptors with steel threaded inserts for strength. the FK's do not use the inserts which is why they strip out. :)

Clairebear did this to her mk2 golf by fitting hubs/disks with the correct bolt holes so no adaptors needed.

No wobble at 147mph - allegedly.

I ran FKs for 3/4 years. No issues.
