Does anyone know how to remove these light adjusters ? The bolts being corroded is making it hard to remove the caps.. Plus the OCD in me doesn't like the dirty look..

First warm them with a hairdryer. Makes the plastic less brittle and more pliable. Compress the lugs you can see in the picture towards the bolt and ease the plastic clip carefully out of the light fitting. The bolt cannot be removed from the clip whilst it is still attached to the light.

You could just get the BMW little white headlight clips from GSF to replace the ones you have broken. They don't look quite the same, but they do the job, and who is going to notice.

Edit: I think the GSF part number is 94333

Is this what you mean ?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E36-Head- ... 0755020598

If so, the VW has a hole at the top to screw the bolt to required light adjustment, but it looks like i could drill a hole ! But at £4.40 i can get the real VW for £4

Yes, but GSF used to do them for about 50p or £1 each I think. And they do have a hole in the top.

However the BMW ones from Rochdale look like a direct match for the VW originals. What is the BMW part number, please, for others who require some replacements?

Well all finally installed, i see no problems using the BMW black part, its obviously bigger but the bolt head sits in the middle of the flange so in theory same as with the original white VW ones.

Because I couldn't find my spare VW clips, I had to get a couple of the BMW clips, just prior to my recent MOT, but I got them from my local GSF - part number 942BM0060 - at a cost (after discount) of 72 pence each
