Hey all, I have a dream! Basically I really need the above in my life. Am I right in thinking that if I swap the bases/runners over they should fit? How hard is it?
Anybody ever done this? Know its possible as I saw a lovely MK1 Golf with them fitted way back in the day. Just looking for some pointers.
Cheers in advance,

these are my recaros in my mk2.
they use four M6 bolts (one in each corner) to secure the seat to the recaro seatframe. this frame was bought to fit a mk1 golf, and did just slot straight into the scirocco. however, i had to cut down the legs and shorten them by about 2" to give myself enough headroom in there. if you can find the frames then im sure the seat will just bolt straight in. if you're a short guy then you'll be ok (im 5'10'' and only just fit in, even with the bases cut down as much as possible). if you do find the bases and decide to cut them down, remember to mark the angle the rear guide sits at in relation to the front mount (guides being the parts that slot into the seat rails and use the white plastic bushes) and keep this angle after chopping, it wont be a case of simply removing 2" then re-welding it into place as i found out, you'll need to put a slight angle on it to match the front.
if you want i can get more pictures of my seat frame and any part number on there too. wont be for a few days mind.

If you have an old set of seats to cannibalise you can make your own subframes. These are pics of some I made for my mk1.
The seat bolts to the subframe as mentioned above, and then uses all the original seat runners, release levers, and seat belt anchorages as a stock seat. These particular ones were made to sit as low as possible at the back whilst offering as much thigh support as possible, me being 6'2" and having long legs.
I'm not against making more but I'd need old seats to take parts from.
