Issue with fixing point for door cards

My inner door looks like it has been attacked by a can opener where the plastic fixing block goes to allow the door card to be fixed at the top left.

See the red arrow shows where the plastic fixing should be..

So if I just leave this will there be sufficient fixing at the top scraper to allow the card to be fixed? Or should I try and get the fixing point in there maybe even with a bit of welding? Tempted to use a dremel and at least take away the sharp edges.

I've got electric windows to fix before I deal with this and fit new membranes.

ouch! i really hate finding stuff like that :ire: how about a decent blob of black snot in the hole and then make sure the doorcard doesn't move for a few hours to let it dry? you'll probably find that it will stay put well enuf without it. frankenrocco had most of the plastic clips broken
