Hi
does anyone know if there is an uprated fuel pump relay
for the k-jet system. My 'rocco is a 1.8 dx engined 1985 GTX.
It seems the last owner fitted an 'uprated' fuel pump by FSE,works great....
But i've gone through a couple of new fuel pump relays in a little over a year!!!
cheers
Rob

I would check the condition of all the wiring and terminals in the circuit first, getting an uprated relay strikes me as the equivalent of using a nail because the fuse keeps blowing.

Thanks for suggestion,i'll take a look at that. i replaced the relay
today and in dismantling the old one i noticed the contact points were
stuck together. thats a fair amount of current flowing to do that!!
thanks very much

no such thing as an uprated fuel pump for K-jet, the original Bosch pump does everything it needs to

Hi
yeah i agree original bosch pump is more than adequate
,but checked pump and bill of sale(from last owner)
,and according to that its a high flow upgraded fuel pump
from FSE. Will send email to FSE this week n post up their reply
. Car running ok since changed fuel pump relay again though
best regards all

Hi
quick update on the uprated fuel pump saga,
FSE sytec do offer an uprated pump for use with k-jet
fuel injection. It does produce a higher volume at slightly higher pressure
.No mention of uprated or replacement fuel pump relay though.
So sadly i'm no further ahead with this, new relay holding up and
not showing any signs of burning out just yet!!!!
best regards
Rob
