Evening gents, I have a dream........
Can somebody please tell me how to make my rad fan come on at the flick of a switch from inside the cabin? The West Midlands isnt the best for free-flowing traffic and I'd just like the option of being able to press a switch to help with cooling.
Any advice you guys could give me would be very much appreciated
Thanks,
Alex

you can just run a live from the battery, to a switch, either an existing 1 like a fog lamp switch, or add 1 like a rocker switch., then wire it to your fans live input via a fuse. shouldnt be too much work. the negative will go back through the existing cable. this way your fan also kicks in automatically when the temp goes too high.
Its how i'd do it anyway.

but doesn't the fan work on a switched negative and permanent live feed arrangement?
if your current switch is a 2 pin one, run a wire from each of the pins to a switch in the cabin. in effect you are just bypassing the thermoswitch when you want to. this will then use the existing fuse.
if you've got a 3 pin switch (one in, 2 outs for low and high speed) just connect to the common and one of the others, depending on what speed you want it running at. i'd guess probably slow
