Hi all,

I'm going to service my Scala in the not too distant future and I wondered if anyone had suggestions about what to change and products to use. The Scala also seems to have lost a fair bit of oil recently but I haven't done that many miles - any suggestions as to what might be causing the drop in oil levels????

I'm also going to service the brakes as they probably need doing and was wondering if anyone could recommend good replacement brake parts?

Cheers

Mike

I always use genuine VW oil filters Mike, they're about the same cost as non genuine, but far superior. Also go for a good quality cam belt. GSF or Euro Car Parts can supply all the other parts you need . Common oil loss items include the cam seal, rocker cover gaskett, crank seals and sump gasketts.

you've probably answered your own question there dude.only using the car over short trips can increase the amount of oil it uses. bear in mind too that it is now an old high mileage engine. how much is it using?

Get a matching OE Quality filters (EG Mann and Hummel) or get them from VW, don't buy cheap rubbish.

Oil,Air, Fuel, Plugs (NGK) and some quality oil like Morris, Shell, Castrol, Mobil1

As for th brakes same as above really, Mintex, Delphi, Brake Enginereeing, Apec, quality makes!
