cam cover

does anyone know where i can get a decent looking cam cover for my 8v?
seen one on ebay but its £150 and i dont really want to spend that much.
i have an 8v carb in my scala think its dx engine or ex (its got an x in it) anyway do any other engine covers fit mine?
seen some nice ones on google images but dont seem to be able to find any for sale.

If your Scala is injection it is a DX engine bud.

Put a wanted ad in the section and see what pops up.

EX as it's a carb, the only difference is the lack of a throttle cable bracket on the EX.

Do you mean something like this?

They'll be expensive, otherwise, take yours off, clean it and paint it like everyone else does :)

yeah its carb, yes that is similar to the one i would like but im looking for a more square one without the cooling fins.
do you know if a g60 one would fit?

i reckon the ally one off a 2 litre golf / passat would proably fit. go raid the scrappy and give it a try

i have found a decent one on black forest industries web site, now just need to get it shipped.
if anyone else is interested check out blackforest industries and search for 8v valve cover.
