was out and about earlier and after doing a little sliding round some roundabouts in the rain my clutch pedal has dropped to the floor pretty much, it still works and doesnt slip tho, but has to be pressed hard into the carpet before anything happens, its just loose and flappy up high, any ideas? not been able to get a look under bonnet yet as its hammering down the now.
cheers.

More than likely it has pulled through the bulkhead
Pop the bonnet and look at the back of the engine bay where the cable goes through the bulk head
Its probably worn its way accross to the next hole in the bulkhead
V. common problem!
GSF do a repair panel that you stick in place for about £8 ish i think. Its actually for MK1 golf and you need to cut the corner off it to make it fit but they are pretty good and last quite a long time. Long term solution is to weld up the hole in the bulkhead.
Same has happened to mine but ive been running on the repair plate for 6 months now and no probs, admittedly i dont use the car a lot.
Otherwise it could be the cable on its way out and stretched? My other rocco did this and eventually the cable snapped completely, again new cable = GSF or Eurocarparts and approx £20
Hope this helps
WiLL....

Worth fitting a new clutch cable as well, well oil the inside of it and make sure it is routed properly and not pulling to the side.
