More common than the older type and more hard wearing, look out for seats on here/Ebay etc and stock up as no longer available new.

The same fabric was used in contemporary Polos (possibly other VWs too).

NEW IDEA!!!
Going to have them re done in mk1 GTI Golf tartan (red/black/white) in the centre of seats
with either vinyl or leather on edges, bolsters etc
What Ya Think?

My first Golf Gti had that seat material, it contrasted well with the black paintwork. What colour is your car?
I take it you have seen the fabric for sale from VW Heritage?

Its silver at the min, but i want to respray to either red or black, hence the pattern choice.
The material i had looked at was from
www.eurowagens.com
it was approx £40 per metre, price seem reasonable?

£40 is good, cheaper than VW Heritage, they want £47.

Haha yeah best bet really, not sure if I'm going to
Use my seats or buy a set of 'donor' seats and keep my
Originals as they are in v. Good condition

Second option is your best bet.
Or get it done professionally.
Good luck.
