Rear view mirror

Went over a speed bump today and the rear view mirror just fell off the windscreen.
Windscreen and mirror all look original so quite bizarre. Does anyone know what I can use to stick the mirror back on with.
I don't want to start messing around with all types of glue that might damage the glass
Thanks in advance

has it just come off it's mount, or has the mount come off the glass?
assuming it's come off it's mount, just slide it on and tighten up the allen headed bolt to secure it.
if the mount has come off the glass, then it needs to be glued back on. for this the glass and mount need to be clean with no traces of the old glue left. then use
this stuff or a similar product to re-secure it. follow the instructions to the letter and it will work. only the ones that have the mesh square in will work long term - they are a "2 pack" adhesive. the mesh contains the hardener to make the resin set in under a minute.
sticky pads or superglue won't work!

Cheers nate
The whole thing came off. Just bought the mirror glue, nice cheap fix didn't think super glue would work,
The only thing i've ever successfully stuck with super glue are my fingers together

I've used the Loctite rear view mirror fixing kit you can get from Halfords, with good results. It has a piece if mesh that you cut to size, apply the glue and the bond the mirror to the windscreen.
The two tips I would give are, firstly, to carefully mark the centre of the windscreen, and secondly, to bond the metal mounting to the screen without the mirror attached. It will bond much more securely without the weight of the mirror pulling on it.

I've got the loctite stuff that I used a few months back. It can be used again. If you don't mind the drive up to Kilmaurs you can have it for free
Edit..
Clearly I didn't read your post

you've bought the stuff already. Oh well good to have some spare
