Would anyone be interested in one? Im thinking of having one made. I wondered if others would be interested and how much you guys would be willing to pay/think is a fair price?

Yeah i'm currently in the market for one, I have no experience on price though. Depends if someone can do it on the side, doing a batch then becomes something else.

Plastic would be better and cheaper, also better if the car is fuel injected, no more woes of crap in the fuel cocking up all those sensitive components in the metering heads. Also Ford XR3is were fitted with them and did not have half the issues that VW had using metal pipes.
Depends on price but definitely interested.

Yeah plastic would be nice but how do you go about making one? Not that keen on adapting parts from other marques... just a pain when it has to be replaced by me or the next owner

Spoke to crazy quiffs today, they said they would make a batch of 10 stainless steel if enough interest, £180 -£200 each they reckoned.

I can no doubt get them made for much cheaper than that. I'd forgot about this thread I will get back on the case

Its gotta be the 'mouth' that is the tricky part - it would need to accept the locking fuel filler cap. I have mine off the car at the moment, i'll measure it up. Taking the neck down to a local fabs would probably be best though, leave the measuring to them.

what about a glass fibre filler neck? relatively cheap and easy to make, and a good por15 treatment would make it as stable as any stainless / plastic one.
