So I've ended up with a Mk1 Rocco, having spent a few years in Mk1 and Mk2 Golfs.
Bought within 10 miles, it's been a local car for it's past few years, and is in need of some more TLC, although it looks a very clean car from the photos.
Already changed wishbones, balljoints, and sourced window winder, parcel shelf hanger and looking at a clutch very soon.
It came on G60 steels, and so got it on some Aluline's right now, cos they look proper nice :)
I've also ended up with a GTI donor without roof, for parts like 5 speed box and lift pump etc...
I'll add some more photos when i next log in :)

Indeed I am based in Gateshead! I see your a Co. Durham man?
Anyone know how water get in, i found water in the rear footwell!? Is it coming via the windscreen and getting in that way??
Anyway, gonna stick some 13 inch wheels on for a change, and see if my golf chrome lower strips are the same length and fit them, as it's missing that lower chrome band :)
Are there many daily Mk1 drivers on the site???

Welcome Mark. Nice looking Mk1 it looks very smart on the Aluline's!
Mine leaked badly from the rear lights. so I sealed them up better. now the boot seal leaks ever so slightly. needs a new one really.
Mines a daily but its off the road for some TLC over winter

Ah Winston, thanks for the comments, it's not missing any bits, and plenty to re-new, so lots of fun for me!
And indeed I could fancy a bit social on Saturday Ian, let me know on here or 07754 845 933.
So next on my re-furb list is the 5 speed box, and suspension change (coilovers off, and bilstiens shocks and springs on)
I'm a big fan of pictures, as i think it makes a online car forum, so next post shall have a few nice ones to look at :)
In fact, i'll chuck some in of my strut brace...
