FD gearbox / 1.8 16v

Ive fitted a 16v to my Mk1 and now need a 5 speed box, ive two spare boxes both FD's, has anyone any knowledge of these boxes and how good they maybe mated to a 1.8 16v??
Manufactured between 8/81 and 8/82 and fitted to the 1.6 l - 81 kw engine.
200 mm clutch plate diameter and 100 mm drive shaft flanges.
Speedo pinion 16 teeth, colour milky-grey.
