How many of us have them that work 100% correctly

Mine works both ways but the action has become very stiff of late, not sure why.

Umm I (we) have had 4 Rocco's over the years (currently have 2) - 3 of them had full tilt & slide roofs and none of them worked right.

I spent ages on the one on my old black GTX - I got pretty familiar with all the little levers and springs and clips etc but it was never right :(

My current GTS tilts but doesn't slide and I figure I ain't messing with it until the weather improves.

Personally, at 6ft tall I wish I had the glass tilt only roof her indoors has on her GTII as it offers and extra inch of head room(btw, are those glass roofs O.E. or after-market ?)

Mine tilts and slides. But the little flap doesn't go up when you tilt it.

Mine tilts but won't slide,plus the lining hangs loose!

Both mine work as intended, the key is lubrication, get some grease in there!

needed a bloody good greasing mind. Also the lower section of the sun roof had to be removed. but this was because it had no liner on it anymore. need to re-do that at some point haha.

Am I right in thinking I can get sufficient access to lubricate the mechanism just by removing the lining, which looks reasonably straightforward (removing the whole thing looks like a nightmare)?

The Haynes section on removing the sunroof is easy to follow and none of it is that difficult - the only reason you'd have a problem is if your roof was stuck in a closed position.

Except for that old chestnut 'refitting is a reversal of the removal procedure' even if it does add a few caveats... :(

my one used to be a hell of a stiff, so i sprayed it with some white spray grease aswell as some 3 in 1 oil, this made it a bit easier but the thing that made the biggest difference was when i replace the cam piece that the handle is screwed too, it cant be greased up without removing it which if i remember correctly is as simple as removing 3 screws!!!! also ensure the cam is in the correct position before refitting or it wont work the sunroof correctly!!!

do this simple things and your sunroof will work perfectly (provided it is just sticky)

Had one of these a while ago that wasn't working properly, but the whole mechanism can be completely dismantled and the interior gears greased. Works a treat now. Unfortunately, my sunroof tilts but doesn't slide, so it didn't cure that problem.

Mine works 100%. It was a little stiff so i squirted WD40 in there, greased up the runners, lubed the flaps(oo'err)and its now cock on!!
